Still Spreading: 15 new dengue cases reported in Swat

Total number of patients in Swat is now 8,964.

MINGORA: According to the district health office, 15 new dengue victims were identified on Saturday, taking the total count of patients in Swat to 8,964. Of the 15 patients, 12 were admitted to the dengue cell of Saidu Teaching Hospital (STH), after which the total number of patients registered at the hospital reached 5,102.“Up till now, 4,898 patients have been discharged after complete recovery, including 15 discharged on Saturday,” said Dr Wasil Khan, spokesperson for STH. He said 37 patients, including 28 males and 9 females, were currently under treatment in the hospital. “Six patients are suffering from complications and have been shifted to the intensive care unit (ICU) at STH,” he added.
