Eighty-eight new cases of the dengue virus have been reported in Karachi on Thursday.
More than 150 people tested positive for dengue fever and have been admitted to 17 different hospitals in Karachi.
The Dengue Surveillance Cell has collected data from 44 hospitals out of 143 registered hospitals in Karachi.
Provincial Health Minister Doctor Sagheer Ahmed has advised the surveillance cell to update the data so that preventive measures can be taken accordingly.
Five people died of dengue fever in Karachi yesterday as the virus spreads across the country. Around 2,000 reported cases of dengue have been reported to hospitals in Karachi.
