Violence round-up: Policeman among five killed

Policeman was sitting near his residence on Napier Road when two armed motorcyclists shot him dead.

KARACHI: A policeman was among the five people killed in separate acts of violence in the city on Friday. SHO Aziz Shaikh said Shahzada Khan was sitting near his residence on Napier Road when two armed motorcyclists shot him dead. Separately, Bashir Ahmed was killed and four others were wounded in a firing incident in Orangi Town. A general store owner, Mohammad Yousuf, was killed during a robbery. Aziz Khan was shot dead in Gulshan-e-Sikandarabad. Police officials said that victim’s brother, Ghaffor, a passer-by, Nasarullah, and an accused Hakim Khan were also wounded in the incident. Meanwhile, Abu Hassan was strangled to death inside his home in Manghopir.
