South Punjab: Ombudsman to hold open courts
The courts will inspect various government offices and schools in southern Punjab.

Punjab Ombudsman Javed Mahmood will hold a series of open courts and inspect various government offices and schools in southern Punjab in the first week of this month. The ombudsman has scheduled katcheries in Rajanpur on November 2 and Layyah on November. He will visit the regional ombudsman’s office in Multan on November 6 and review its performance. Apart from complaints about government departments, the ombudsman can hear complaints about pensions and benevolent fund scholarships. Parents and children can also lodge complaints about missing facilities in government schools, hospitals and police excesses. The ombudsman said that he had decided to hold open courts in the region to give people in the area easy access to his office.
