House robbery: Two killed, one injured

Five men entered the house of a land owner, Rao Waris, in in Chak 153-EB.

ARIFWALA: Two men were killed, and another was injured on Thursday for putting up resistance against armed robbers in Chak 153-EB. Police said five men entered the house of a land owner, Rao Waris, and held Rao Ishtiaq captive at gunpoint. When he tried to snatch the robber’s gun, he shot him, killing him on the spot. Waris was injured in the firing. Some neighbours entered the house on hearing the gunshot. The robbers fled, and on their way out shot one Mohammad Younus who tried to stop them. The injured man was taken to tehsil headquarters hospital, where he was reported to be out of danger. DSP Mahmoodul Hassan said that a police team was looking for the suspects.
