Security scare: LHC unperturbed by bomb hoax
Security was beefed up after the call.
LAHORE:
An anonymous caller reported that a bomb had been planted at the Lahore High Court on Tuesday morning, sparking a mild panic before it was confirmed to be a hoax. Security was beefed up after the call and DCO Ahmed Javed Qazi and the city’s police chief visited the scene. The bomb disposal squad conducted a half-hour sweep and then declared the premises clear of any bombs. A police official said the hoax call caused some panic among court staff, but judicial work was not disrupted as the judges continued with hearings.
