BHUBANESWAR: A militant group is believed to be behind an attack on a rally by Indian Hindu nationalist politician Narendra Modi that killed six people and wounded more than 80, police said on Tuesday.

Modi is seen as a target of militants who hold him responsible for riots in 2002, during his first term as chief minister of Gujarat state, in which at least 1,000 people, most of them Muslims, were killed.

Seven crude bombs went off on Sunday in Bihar state as Modi's supporters gathered for his rally. He was not near any of the blasts and delivered his speech despite the violence.

Senior police official S N Pradhan said one of two  suspects arrested after the blasts had identified a suspected senior member of the Indian Mujahideen militant group, Tehseen Akhtar, as the organiser of the attack.

The National Intelligence Agency, India's top security agency, is seeking the arrest of the 24-year-old Akhtar in connection with attacks in recent years in the cities of Mumbai and Varanasi and is investigating his role in blasts in Hyderabad city in February.

"Because of the Tehseen connection, the entire chain is established," said Pradhan, a senior police official in Jharkand state, where the detained suspect is from.

"There is no doubt that it is the work of the Indian Mujahideen."

Indian Mujahideen means an excuse to massacre Indian Muslims. These radical communal Hindu mobs are doing this is in Kashmir, Hyderabad, Gujurat, UP, Bihar, Assam, and now trying to spread it throughout all of India. No Muslim is safe in a fanatical Hindu country. Soon its time for a second partition of India.

@Sher Why you are surprised if LeT is not pointed. Do you think that Indian agencies have pressure to point towards Pakistan only ? See the past too. Many time Pakistan was pointed and many times Indian organizations were pointed. For ex. Mumbai attack, pointed towards Pakistan and that was true. While Bodh gaya and recent Patna blasts towards IM ! You guys have fear, whenever any blast takes place anywhere in world. They you become cautious that somehow fingers will be pointed toward Pakistan. You can not stop people to point towards you. You know fact is that Obama was found, Hafiz is living. Many terrorists have safe heaven, in Pakistan or AfPak area. See, do this. Tell any person that a big terrorist attack took place in USA/France/UK/India please guess who did that ? and I can bet that he will tell Pakistani Jehidi Terrorist ? No ? You/Me can say that is prejudice, that is right ! but this prejudice developed after many facts !

I am not blaming you as such. I am not pointing towards common Pakistani, many of them might be facing hard time due to terrorism themselves too... Even if 90% of Pakistani are good. yet 10% too is a huge number , no ?
