Brutality: Three-year-old ‘poisoned over rivalry’

DHONKAL: A three-year-old girl was poisoned allegedly by a relative over an old rivalry. Police said relatives and neighbours Ijaz Ahmad and Muhammad Saleem had had an old rivalry. On Thursday, they said, Saleem’s wife gave Ijaz’s daughter a burger to eat. A few minutes later, they said, she returned home and started throwing up. When her parents asked her what she had eaten, she told them about the burger. They said the girl fainted within an hour and was taken to THQ hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Police said they had started investigation.
