CHARSADDA:

Police arrested two men accused of raping two minors from different areas of Charsadda on Wednesday.

According to City police station SHO Ijaz Khan, Shakeel with the help of his accomplices physically tortured and raped 14-year-old Waqar* in Sheikhabad, Rajar at gunpoint. The victim’s father, Amjid Ali, told local media Shakeel had also raped a number of children in the past.

Ali claimed the locals were aware of Shakeel’s activities, but preferred to remain silent over fear of social disgrace. “I cannot keep silent anymore. I will stand up against such a heinous crime to prevent it from happening in the future,” said Ali.

Ali added he would be compelled to take action against the accused himself if he was not provided justice.

SHO Khan said Waqar’s medical reports confirmed sexual assault and Shakeel had also admitted to the crime at the police station. “We are conducting raids to arrest Shakeel’s accomplices,” he added.

Meanwhile, another man accused of raping seven-year-old Shazia* was apprehended by the police in Kala Dher.

City police station official Imran Khan said Murad Ali had confessed he had taken the girl to the fields and raped her. The police official said further action cannot be taken till they receive Shazia’s medical report. He added the lady doctor has refused to examine the victim in the absence of the girl’s mother.

The victim’s father, Zahir Shah, said Murad was a relative and had been involved in similar offences in the past. Shah demanded the chief justice of Pakistan to take notice of the matter.

On October 20, an alleged rape case was also reported from Tanda Dheri village, Mansehra. Irfan* told the police his 11-year-old son Niaz* was heading to the mosque when Muhammad Nazir and his younger brother Liaqat and Nazeer allegedly ambushed him. Irfan said the accused took Niaz to a field, raped him and left him unconscious. Locals spotted the child and shifted him to Bafa hospital. He was later referred to King Abdullah Teaching Hospital in Mansehra where doctors confirmed the assault.

Irfan claimed the accused are from influential families and have been pressuring him to drop the charges.

The PTI coalition government has completely failed to maintain law & order in KPK. The pseudo-intellectuals of PTI are still trumpeting "dhandli", "dhandli" without delivering any governance to the province. The Lifetime Chairman PTI & his trolls are good for nothing!!
