Trend file: Black is back!

Whether you go all-black or colour up your black top or tee with accessories, make-up or shoes, we are big fans!

After OD’ing on vivid colours and floral prints, we reintroduce you to the basics. And sometimes, the basics are the best! Black has long reigned supreme in the fashion industry and fashionistas have been incorporating this staple colour into their attire this season, especially in their tops.

Whether you go all-black or colour up your black top or tee with accessories, make-up or shoes, we are big fans!

We saw a bunch of A-listers at premieres, movie screenings and fashion shows sporting black tops and looking nothing less than sleek. At the Cat on a Hot Tin premiere, the gorgeous Scarlett Johansson sported a black crochet button fastened top with fitted black trousers and paired them up with beautiful turquoise earrings and red lips. Sonam Kapoor, the Bollywood style icon, looked uber cute in a black Mickey Mouse top that she paired with cobalt blue trousers and black pumps at the Bombay Talkies special screening.

At PLBW 2013, we spotted our very own fashion divas in black. Shehrbano Taseer wore a black top with bell bottoms and accessorised with a gold bib necklace and black and white clutch. We loved the black, white and brown combo that Sahar opted for, which she added colour to with her red nails. Khadijah Shah looked fabulous in a black top, which she blinged up with chunky gold accessories. Anam Mansuri wowed us by donning a blank tank with a waistcoat, rugged jeans, a bright orange belt and suede pumps.

So, spruce up with a black top! You have our blessings.

Black is back ?? ................sorry black never went anywhere. Other colours and shades pop up every now and then and they go away. Black is the constant.
