KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement's (MQM) MNA Abdul Rashid Godil’s victory in constituency NA-252, was challenged in the election tribunal, Express News reported on Monday.

The election tribunal issued a notice for October 29 to Godil.

Godil denied receiving any such notice and said that further action will be taken according to the law.

Godil had contested the election against former Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi chief Muhammad Hussain Mehanti.

Two other MNAs of MQM, Farooq Sattar and Ali Muhammad Iqbal had also been issued notices by the election tribunal previously, seeking verification of thumb impressions of the voters.
