Remittances: Speaker lauds overseas Pakistanis role

Ayaz Sadiq said the present democratic set up is facing a variety of challenges.

ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, on Tuesday urged overseas Pakistanis to play their role in making the country self reliant in economic field.

He was addressing the Pakistani community in Birmingham, United Kingdom where he called upon overseas Pakistanis to remit their foreign exchange through legal channels. “The overseas Pakistanis are an asset for Pakistan and we will address their issues on priority basis and the present government will give them a meaningful role in the nation building process” he added.

Ayaz Sadiq said the present democratic set up is facing a variety of challenges that will be overcome with the help of the Pakistani nation and support of friendly countries like Britain. He urged the Pakistani community to play an effective role to project a soft image of Pakistan.
