Crackdown: Nine suspected robbers arrested

The SP said that a gang member, Akmal Pathan, was still at large and efforts are underway for his arrest.

RAWALPINDI: The Sadiqabad police have busted two separate groups of robbers and arrested nine people. This was disclosed by Rawal Division Superintendent of Police (SP) Jamaat Ali Naqvi during a press conference on Tuesday. The alleged robbers who were arrested have been identified as Fazalur Rehman, Rehan, Muhammad Zafran, Rashid Mehmood, Adeel Abbas, Iftikhar Ahmed, Banyameen, Zainul Aabidin and Muhammad Wali. The SP said that a gang member, Akmal Pathan, was still at large and efforts are underway for his arrest. The police recovered cash, jewellery, an 8mm rifle with 15 bullets, seven 30-bore pistols with 105 bullets, foreign currency, laptops, a motorcycle and a Toyota Corolla (LEC-4218) from the alleged gang members.
