According to a notification issued by Interior Ministry, official holidays will now be observed from October 15 to October 18.
“It’s notified for general information that October 18 (Friday) will also be a public holiday on occasion of Eidul-Azha,” read the notification.
Last week, the government had announced Eidul-Azha holidays to be be observed from October 15 to 17.
All government offices, autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies, corporations and local councils will remain closed.
With the announcement of Friday as an additional holiday, offices in the country will now reopen on Monday, October 21.
The interior ministry had announced earlier that tight security will be maintained during the religious festival.

HI guys! I could not find any notification of extended holiday. i checked interior ministry website and tried information ministry website as well.both are silent. the websites are either not updated or govt did not issue a press release or proper notification. I will be grateful if you could please refer some authentic link having such updated notification.

I feel like you're overthinking on this issue..
The word "Government" should not mean only for the Government Offices and Government Servants, but the Government should also mean for the Private Sector as well.
When the question of holidays or raise in the salaries is referred, it is only referred in terms of Government Servants and not for the Private Sector, though people working in the Private Sector are much more in numbers than the Government Servants.
Now what should the Private Sector do on Friday? Shall the Private Sector open up their offices or not?
It is the Private Sector which gives taxes to the Government and then Government Servants get their salaries, so why the Government is only referred for the Government Servants and not for the Private Sector when such announcements are made?
