Eid security: ‘1,500 policemen to guard city’

FAISALABAD: As many as 1,500 policemen will be deployed in Faisalabad to beef up security during Eidul Azha, police said on Sunday.A police spokesman told the APP that police officials would collaborate with traders to avoid any untoward incident.

He said the law enforcement agencies had informed them that Anarkali, Regal Road, Bhowana Bazaar, Karkhana Bazaar, Satiana Road and Madina Chowk were ‘sensitive’ areas. He said lady constables and traffic wardens would also be deployed to regulate traffic during Eid.
