Investment: Ontex sets up manufacturing plant
The opening of this manufacturing plant in Pakistan is a vote of confidence in Pakistan’s future.
KARACHI:
Ontex, a European market leader with 30 years of experience in hygiene, baby care, cosmetics, feminine care and specialised adult products, became the first multinational company to successfully set up a state of the art plant in Karachi to manufacture its products at European quality standards. Speaking on the occasion of its launch, Ozgur Akyildiz, General Manager for Ontex Middle East and Africa and CEO of Ontex Pakistan, emphasised that “Ontex has always lived by its promise if manufacturing high quality and innovative products at affordable prices to provide comfort, freedom, convenience and value of money to its consumers. The opening of this manufacturing plant in Pakistan is a vote of confidence in Pakistan’s future and a commitment to touch the lives of millions of people in Pakistan.” Ameen Jan, Country Director for Ontex Pakistan noted that “The start of local manufacturing means that Ontex Pakistan will be able to serve the domestic market but also export”.
