PM Nawaz to discuss host of issues

Sartaj Aziz added that the strategic dialogue with United States will be resumed early next year.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will visit the US capital on the invitation of President Barack Obama and discuss bilateral issues, relations between Islamabad and Washington and the regional situation, National Security and Foreign Affairs Adviser Sartaj Aziz said on Friday. Sartaj said Pakistan and the United States have many common interests such as trade and economic ties and other issues which will be discussed during the meeting between Nawaz and Obama later this month in Washington. He added that the strategic dialogue with United States will be resumed early next year. The adviser said PM Nawaz will also discuss the post 2014 situation of the region with the US president and Pakistan’s relations with the United Nations beyond 2014.
