LAHORE: A graduation ceremony for the Air Defence Operational Training Course was held at the School of Air Defence, Sakesar, on Wednesday.  The school, one of the premier institutions of the Pakistan Air Force, trains graduates and mid-level air defence officers for operational duties. Air Vice Marshal Ijaz Mehmood Malik, air officer commanding at the Air Defence Command Headquarters, was the chief guest at the ceremony. “You are now equipped with basic and operational concepts of air defence operations. A vigilant and well prepared air defence system deters aggression during peacetime and its performance often determines the outcome of war. I congratulate you all on successful completion of operational training and extend my felicitation to the winners of trophies,” the chief guest said in his speech.
