Squash: Zaman defeated 3-2 by Anjema

Farhan Zaman went down fighting against world number 18 Laurens Jan Anjema 3-2 in the main round of 36th Indian Summer Benefitting Beyond Walls PSA $25000 event in St. Paul, US.


Zaman, who recently moved to 71st rank, has been in sublime form of late as he won two back-to-back major tournaments in Pakistan, as he lifted DG Rangers (Sindh) Championship and Chief of Air Staff (CAS) Squash Championship.


He proved he could compete with the top players of the world, as he was on the verge of stunning Anjema by leading 2-0 at one stage. However, Anjema made a great recovery and went on to win the next three sets.
