KASHMIR: Four people were injured because of Indian shelling on the Line of Control on Friday, Express News reported.

The recent ceasefire violation occurred in the Kotli area.

Armed engagement is reportedly taking place even after the prime ministers of India and Pakistan have met in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session and have promised new arrangements to ensure the ceasefire agreement along the LoC holds.

On October 2, Indian military sources claimed that 30 armed militants had managed to infiltrate Kashmir from the Pakistan side.

The Inter-Services Public Relation stated that “no such thing happened at all.”

“This is a blatant lie. We totally deny this baseless allegation.”

@Jim: As far as I know, Pakistan is still here. Actually you would be surprised at the cultural, lingual, social, and lifestyle similarities between the different ethnic groups in Pakistan, including Kashmiris, Sindhis, and Baloch. The proof is that inter-marriage between different ethnic groups is quite common in Pakistan, and in some instances even encouraged by the society due to the relevance of Islamic customs.

The Indus river is fully in Pakistan, and always has been and remains a major part of the culture of the people of Pakistan. Just because you decided to name yourself Indians after what the British called you, does not mean you have any relation to the Indus river or the greater Septa Sindhi (Indus) civilization. Religion is irrelevant to discussions on genetics. Pakistan's genetic makeup is different than India, proven by fossil evidence, skull structure, facial features, and the cultural heritage passed down through centuries.

@ Someone Why don't you use this argument to rename Indus Valley Civilization to Pakus Valley Civilization, Pakistanian Ocean etc. As for someone who asked what is common between Kashmiris and Tamils, actually there are scores of languages, dialects, ethnicities in the subcontinent, both in India and Pakistan There isn't enough in common between Kashmiris adn Sindhis or Baloch either...except a loose association with religion among a majority (most of whm were converted -- btw what religion were your ancestors before Islam came by?). But as 1971 proved, Islam wasn't a good enough glue to keep Pakistan together. The idea of India has proved more enduring than the idea of Pakistan, despite, as you guys love to fantasize, India being many nations. It is Pakistan that is going to pieces.
