In a move that supersedes the authority of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) government, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has announced its plans to convene on Friday an all-parties conference (APC) on the issue of law and order in the province. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), which leads the coalition government in the province, had earlier announced its own plans to convene the meeting before making a u-turn.
The agenda of the conference: prevalent law-and-order situation is similar to what PTI had devised for its own APC plans.
PTI had issued an official statement on September 13 which said the provincial government was ready for a provincial APC in light of the resolutions made in the APC held at a federal level so a strategy for attaining lasting peace could be established.
PML-N provincial general secretary Rahmat Salam Khattak said that after the provincial government announced APC and in between the following postponement they have not been contacted by the government.
JUI-F spokesperson Jalil Jan said, “K-P government has failed on the issue of law and order and the government seems to lack a proper strategy to respond to terrorist incidents”.
JI spokesperson Israrullah said that all the political parties agreed to attend the JI convened APC. He said that through the APC a message would be delivered to the active powers behind the terrorist acts that people are united against them.

so cold water thrown on all....PTI and PML-N dont attend JI's today APC in Peshawar....great Abdur Rauf
The news is all based on correct data. It can not be ignored as being coalition partner JI went for organizing APC and supersede PTI which for well known reasons did not dared and postponed its much enthusiastically announced APC. The critics here need to realize that the right proved correct as the JI convened APC is not attended by PTI today (friday) along with PML-N. the critics needs to bear the facts given in the news by ET. Well done ET.
ET have not published my previous comments either. Shame on them. Please man up and publish my previous comments. I didn't swear or said anything offensive, but merely criticised you constructively and you don't have the courage to publish those comments. Truth hurts, as they say.
ET should release my previous comment. If they have a right to criticize others , then others have the right to criticize ET as well !
Rubbish article with a rubbish title, reinforcing the stereotype that ET has become a tabloid.
So many negative views and comments about the headline of this article should force ET authority to take notice..It is very evident what Mr Rauf is trying to achieve here but I think he dose not know that it is a English news paper and readers are more intelligent and aware to read between the lines..
It is sad that PTI lacks political visionary anf the trust coalition partner like JI. Unfortunately JI is the worst party when it comes to trust.
JI combines both proverbial & real stab in the back as and when it gets opportunity. Its their traditional & cultural policy
ET - Shame on you on failure to produce impartial stance on this issue. And by the way what does u-turn mean? Do you have any idea about the current situation in KP province? Now please post my message..
ET - Shame on you for stating your partial opinion. You have any idea of the circumstances in KP province? If yes then what does u-turn mean? Now please post my message.
I have been seeing this that ET reports each and every report regarding JI and PTI as negative as possible, from establishment of KPK govt till date.
Mr Abdur Rauf - where is the stab in the back??? Does ET even have an editor to reads these articles before they get published? Apparently not!!
The Pakistanis (electorate) obeyed the call of their favorite politicians (call of the wild) and voted for them to come to the assemblies. What has it brought and got for them? Pettiness, misery, bickering, snivelling, complaining, arguments, accusations, and a host of regrets. Both political parties, like the PPP and PMLN, are political liabilities and must be held accountable for their argumentative and contentious attitudes. Salams
Whosoever goes a head with any agenda that brings peace in the country, we must appreciate that. This as stupid a news as it can get.
Stab in the back? What does it mean? Does it really mean ET is trying to impose it's own opinion? I think there is a thin line between neutrality and negativity... be careful
J.I. upto its tradition..
I don"t understandan, wht made ET to say stab in the back... Or may be ET is trying to become devil saaas and made the new coalition fight between themselves!
when the terrorists are seems to be segmented their political wing will be naturally get fragmented .
