Planning: Four development schemes approved

The approved schemes include conservation of energy through solar-powered LED streetlights at a cost of Rs60 million.

The government on Thursday approved four development schemes in energy sector, urban development and district administration sectors.


The approved schemes include conservation of energy through solar-powered LED streetlights at a cost of Rs60 million; preparation of a master plan for water supply, sewerage and drainage system at a cost of Rs130.643 million; replacement of pumping machinery at In-line Booster Pump Station and Terminal Reservoir Pump Station in Faisalabad at a cost of Rs1,769.23 million and sustainable development of the Walled City of Lahore at a cost of Rs1,401.048million.

A spokesman of the Planning and Development Department said the meeting was presided over by the Planning and Development Board Chairman Muhammad Irfan Elahi.
