LAHORE: A female cricketer Atiya Batool has been reported as missing in Lahore, having been untraceable for the past eight days, Express News reported on Thursday.

Police have taken coach Nadeem Zafar into custody for questioning.

After searching for her for eight days, Batool's family registered an abduction case against unknown persons at the Civil Lines Police Station, prompting police action.

The cricketer was known to be suffering from a strained relationship with the coach at her cricket academy, Nadeem Zafar. Hence, police have detained Zafar for further investigations.
