Show of strength: Capital police hold flag march

The march started from Aabpara Market and culminated near Kashmir Highway.

ISLAMABAD: Armed contingents of Islamabad’s City Zone Police conducted a flag march on Wednesday to display vigilance and ensure a peaceful atmosphere in the capital. The convoy of vehicles was led by Assistant Superintendent Police City Yasir Afridi. The Station House Officer (SHO) of Kohsar Police Station Inspector Hakim Khan and SHO Aabpara Inspector Qasim Khan Naizi, police commandos, patrolling officers and personnel from the Falcon and Eagle squads participated in the flag march. The march started from Aabpara Market and culminated near Kashmir Highway after passing from Sitara Market, Sector G-6/2, Blue Area, Jinnah Avenue, Margalla Road, Saidpur, Kohsar Market, Super Market, Jinnah Supper and Sector E-7. This exercise was conducted on the directions of Islamabad Inspector General of Police Sikandar Hayat and Senior Superintendent of Police Muhammad Rizwan with the objective of showing police preparedness to counter any untoward situation in the federal capital.
