The Lahore High Court on Wednesday dropped contempt chargers against Faisalabad Electricity Supply Company (FESCO) chief after he submitted an unconditional apology.
Earlier, the court had issued a contempt notice to FESCO Chief Rana Abdul Jabbar for disconnecting electricity supply to a cement factory in violation of court orders.
Appearing before the court, counsel for Flying Cement Company had submitted that Jabbar, despite having knowledge of court orders, disconnected the supply.
He said Jabbar had been informed of the court orders through letters, emails and SMS.
Appearing before the court, Jabbar’s counsel said his client was on a training course and had no knowledge of the court orders.
The court directed Jabbar to file a written apology and dropped the charges against him.
