Zaman rises to career-best 71 ranking

Pakistan squash player’s recent success boosts his PSA standings.

KARACHI: Farhan Zaman’s recent success after winning the Chief of Air Staff (CAS) event has boosted his Professional Squash Association ranking by 10 places to 71 in the newly released rankings of October.

Farhan is emerging as the next big player from Pakistan, and lot of hopes have already been pinned on him as he enjoys his career best spell and ranking so far. He also won the DG Rangers (Sindh) Squash Championship last month.

Meanwhile, top-ranked Pakistan player Nasir Iqbal improved one position to 48th whereas Asian Champion Aamir Atlas slid three places down to 70th position in the rankings due to a lack of participation in competitions.

Yasir Butt moved up three places to 68 while Danish Atlas Khan jumped up four places to 75. Others amongst those to have improved their rankings include Sheikh Saqib Yousuf (110), Tayyab Aslam (133) and Mansoor Zaman (134).
