Development Programmes: Denmark to provide $50m assistance

The programme will support peace building, livelihoods, education and enhance human rights and gender equality.

ISLAMABAD: Denmark and Pakistan officially signed the second phase of development programme under which the Danish government will extend $50 million help to Pakistan during the next three years. The 2013-2016 programme consists has two main components. The first is designed to provide support to peace building, livelihoods and education in K-P, Fata and Balochistan. The second focuses on enhancing democratisation, human rights and gender equality.
