Ignoring orders: Ombudsman issues notice to DCO
The D CO has been told to submit the requisite reports by September 28.
LAHORE:
Ombudsman Javed Mahmood has served a notice on DCO Nasim Sadiq for ignoring the ombudsman’s orders seeking his comments on various applications submitted by citizens. The D CO has been told to submit the requisite reports by September 28 or appear in person on September 30 to explain why he had failed to do so. In the notice, the ombudsman also submitted a list of the various cases in which the DCO had been instructed to comment, but failed to do so. The list had been shared earlier with the DCO’s focal person, with the instructions to speed up the DCO’s responses, but to no avail. Most of the cases are in reference to alleged acts of corruption committed by revenue officials in the registration of land documents.
