Six of these policemen have been suspended and the remaining ones have been stripped of all powers until inquiries against them are complete. The law enforcers were found running dens within their areas, especially Lyari in district South. Sources privy to the matter told The Express Tribune that action was taken by police officials following the internal investigations by the special branch.
