Notice issued for sale of defective mobile phone.

LAHORE:

A consumer court on Friday summoned the proprietor of a mobile phone shop by October 10 in a suit seeking damages of Rs100,000.

Petitioner Muhammad Farhan told the court he purchased a model DHC AMAZE 4G EMI phone for Rs10,000 from Sarwar Mobile. He said at the time of the purchase, the salesman assured him that Sarwar Mobile would be responsible if the phone developed a fault.

Farhan said after a few days, the phone stopped working. He said he visited Sarwar Mobile whose representatives referred him to their repair shop at Hafeez Centre.

Farhan said he was told to pick up the phone in a few days. He said when he went to pick it up, he was told that the phone had not been repaired.

Farhan asked the court to direct the respondent to pay Rs100,000 in damages and compensation, including the amount he had paid for it.

@Ahs Mk: Please name and shame them here! It doesn't cost you anything but will cost them a lot!

Ahs Mk | 10 years ago | Reply Something similar happened to me. The e-tailer is karachi based, sold me a refurbished galaxy I9100 but it turns out its actually a Korean shw-m250s with wrong labelling. And this is a deal worth approx 22, 000 rupees. Im considering whether I should invoke consumer court as well.
