Inter-school basketball tournament at AKU

Seventeen teams from educational institutions across the city are taking part in the tournament.

KARACHI: The Aga Khan University (AKU) Sports and Rehabilitation Centre is organising its 7th AKU Inter-School Boys (under-17) Basketball Tournament 2010, which starts on Monday, October 11.

Seventeen teams from educational institutions across the city are taking part in the tournament.

The teams have been divided into four pools and the matches will be played on a league-basis at the AKU sports centre.

Pool A comprises of the Shahwilayat Public School, Jaffar Public School, British International School and The City School Gulshan Campus, while The City School PAF-Chapter, DA Public School O&A Levels, St Michaels Convent School and Habib Public School are in pool B.

Pakistan Steel Cadet College, Bayview High School, Beaconhouse School System PECHS, The CAS School and Lecole for Advance Studies School are in pool C and Karachi Grammar School, SMS Aga Khan School, Generation’s School and The City School Darakhshan Campus are in pool D.  Three matches will be played on the opening day, the first of which will be played between the Shahwilayat Public School and the Jaffar Public School at 2 pm, while St Michaels Convent School will take on Habib Public School at 3:30 pm and Bayview High School will play against The CAS School at 4:30 pm.
