Complaint: Judicial report sought in rape case

Police suspects girl was raped before she was killed.

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Monday took notice of a report of kidnapping and rape of a 13-year-old girl in Sargodha. The court directed the district and sessions judge to investigate the matter and submit a report regarding steps taken by the police in this regard. Media reports said have the girl went missing on her way to school in Istaqlalabad. Her body was later found floating in the Pichasi Jhaal canal the next day. The police reported bruises on the body and said they suspected girl was raped before she was killed.
