Anti-venom production: DUHS signs MoU with pharma company
KARACHI:
Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a local pharmaceutical company, Macter International, to produce high quality drugs and vaccines. DUHS officials sharing detail of the agreement on Monday said that they would together focus on production of high quality medicines (API and formulations). “This would particularly, include anti-venom, which is frequently required in rural and urban parts of the country,” said an official. Under this agreement, along with production of anti-venom, its supply would also be ensured. “The intention is to make available all the medicines at the lowest possible price to the people in need,” said the official.
