Addressing Contamination: 19 water testing labs on the cards
40 per cent of patients admitted to hospitals across Pakistan are suffering from water-borne diseases, says Dr Aslam.
ISLAMABAD:
The Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources (PCRWR) will establish 19 well-equipped water testing laboratories across the country to ensure provision of safe drinking water to people. Most of the population in the country faces different diseases like diarrhoea and other health issues due to contaminated water. Chairman PCRWR, Dr Aslam said that 40 per cent of patients admitted to hospitals across Pakistan were suffering from water-borne diseases.
