Navy register first win of PPFL season

KARACHI: Navy registered their first win of the season in the Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) yesterday, when they defeated HBL 2-1 at the KPT Stadium in Karachi.

HBL scored the opening goal in the fourth minute with Muhammad Atif, however, Navy’s Sajjad Ahmed equalised in the 17th minute. Navy dominated the match in the second-half, while Ahmed scored his second goal and sealed the victory for his team in the 49th minute.

Navy have played three matches so far out of which they won one, drew one and lost one, whereas HBL have not won any of their matches yet.

Meanwhile, Army crushed debutants Lyallpur FC 2-0 at the Model Town Stadium in Lahore. Army now sits on the second place with Wapda with seven points from three matches. In today’s fixture, Navy will play PIA at the Korangi Baloch Stadium in Karachi.
