RATODERO: Pirah Memon, who is five-months pregnant, was shot and injured in Larkana on Friday morning, allegedly by her father.
The police said that an unidentified armed man opened fired at the 22-year-old woman at her house in Zaid Colony.
She was shot in the head and was taken to Civil hospital.
Doctors at the hospital said that the victim was unconscious and in a critical condition.
The police said Memon had had a court marriage with Rajab Memon about a year ago without her family’s consent.
So they suspect Memon’s father to be involved in the attempted murder, they claimed. A case has been registered against the father and investigations are underway.
