Crime: House robbed

Robbers made away with Rs400,000 cash, jewellery, prize bonds worth Rs68,000, mobile phones and other valuables.

KALLAR SYEDAN: A house was robbed in the Kallar Syedan area of Rawalpindi on Sunday. Muhammad Bashir lodged a complaint with the local police that four armed robbers broke into his house in Rakh Ghaziabad by climbing the boundary walls and held the inmates hostage. They ransacked the house cupboards and made away with Rs400,000 cash, jewellery, prize bonds worth Rs68,000, mobile phones and other valuables. The police registered a case against the robbers but no arrests or recoveries have been made yet.
