Encounter: Two ‘robbers’ killed in shootout with police

Police said four men on two motorcycles soon approached one of the pickets and shot at the policemen.

Two robbers were killed in a shootout with the police on Saturday.


Police said Muhammad Sohail, Muhammad Irfan and Rashid were returning home when four armed men stopped them and snatched their motorcycle at gun point.

Rahim Yar Khan Saddar SHO Chaudhry Muhammad Younas was informed about the robbery while he was on patrol in Sadiqpur village. He ordered pickets to be set up on both sides of the seepage drain.

Police said four men on two motorcycles soon approached one of the pickets and shot at the policemen.

Two of them were killed when the police returned their fire.

The other two fled. The police have seized two motorcycles and two submachine guns.
