In cold blood: Unidentified gunmen kill private security guard

Police said the gunmen fled following the incident.

A private security company guard escorting Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) water tankers was gunned down by unidentified assailants in Hazara Kandao area on Saturday.


Bandha Daud Shah police official Hajat Khan said the incident occurred at around 2am. Amal Badshah filed a case stating he and Sajjad Hussain, a resident of Mummy Khel, were part of the escort team when three unidentified men came down from the nearby mountain and asked for some water to drink.


Hussain said he complied and gave them some water, after which the assailants opened fire, killing Hussain on the spot while Badshah narrowly escaped.


Police said the gunmen fled following the incident. A case has been registered and police launched a search operation in the surrounding areas soon after.
