Tragedy: Three die in house collapse

The roof collapsed due to weak pillars.

Three persons including a woman and two minors were killed and another injured on Friday when a mud house collapsed in the Gulraiz area.


The two-room house near Nullah Lai — owned by a man identified as Saif Ali — collapsed due its dilapidated condition, the police said. Locals who retrieved the bodies said the roof collapsed due to weak pillars.


Rescue official said the woman died on the way to Benazir Bhutto Hospital, but a girl identified as Aqsa was admitted and doctors said her condition is stable. The deceased were identified as Razia, 25, and her daughters Fatima, 3, and Mashal, 1. The family was from Faisalabad and had recently moved to Rawalpindi.
