LAHORE: Additional District and Sessions Judge Chaudhry Ghulam Murtaza on Friday fixed September 19 for the recording of statements of the remaining prosecution witnesses in the blasphemy case against Sawan Masih. The prosecution was to present 10 witnesses. Inspector Abdul Majid, complainant Shahid Imran, Iftikhar and Muhammad Bashir recorded their statements on Friday. The prosecution has decided to give up two witnesses Qasim and Shafique. Four witnesses will record their statements at the next hearing. Imran had stated in the FIR that he had been standing in front of a warehouse with his neighbour Shafique when Sawan Masih appeared and used derogatory language against Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
