Trading for traditional gold vendors who stick to old marketing methodologies remains stagnant; while the traders who have innovated and kept their design updated continue to attract customers.
The trend of exhibitions had picked up pace, giving customers a taste of the latest products available in the market.
“I wasn’t aware that Pakistani jewellers have already augmented their aptitude where they can compete with the leading countries in this category,” said Chaudhry Muhammad Shafique, provincial minister for commerce and industries during his speech at the opening ceremony.
“We will provide all possible support to this industry as it has tremendous potential to increase exports along with job opportunities for locals.”
The association believes that the show will provide a platform to demonstrate the skills and expertise of the Pakistani gem and jewellery sector to the world.
