Mercedes struggled for pace at the Belgian Grand Prix but executive director Toto Wolff has assured they have learned their lessons and will put up an improved show at Monza.
Despite qualifying on pole, Mercedes was left behind by rivals Red Bull and Ferrari. Wolff said the team has made important tweaks after learning its lessons at Spa.
“In Monza, we will use a refined version of the low-drag package introduced at Spa,” he said, according to ESPNF1. “We hope to see an improvement in race pace after the lessons we learned over the race weekend in Belgium.”

“I was very pleased with the team’s performance in Belgium and the consolidation of our current position of second place in the constructors’ championship,” he said. “We will keep pushing hard to close the gap and keep fighting.”
