Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Pakistan Muslim League - Quaid (PML-Q) and Jamat-e-Islami joined hands against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) for the local body elections.
The decision came after a joint meeting among the leaders of the parties.
Earlier the same day in Islamabad, Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) prepared a design to hold the local body elections in the country.
According to the statistics, there are a total of 184,900 voters in 43 cantonment areas all over the country and 1,298 polling stations will be set up for the elections.

It is very much necessary to transfer the power to grass root level, as the general public has the constitutional right, the govt should hold the local bodies election as early as possible.

@AdnanSiddiqi You are making fool of yourself the way you took the news so seriously....I heard there are no party based local bodies election in Punjab
It will be so embarrassing for all of them when PMLN will still win.
I wonder do all of them still have that much power to beat PMLN................they are surelly afraid of a single party and have joined hands together............just like in 1988 all of them went together against a single PPP.
False news. ET will retract it in a day or two
