He further stated that 22 kidnappers have been killed during multiple police encounters in the city.
“The police have also recovered 4,077 different types of weapons which include 110 hand grenades,” stated Thebo.
He also commented on Karachi’s prevailing violence situation in his report stating that the law and order situation in the city is better now and the police are not under any sort of pressure. He further declared that their only aim is to arrest individuals involved in the criminal activities.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has also arrived on a two-day visit to Karachi. A cabinet meeting has been scheduled on Wednesday where he will meet political leaders to discuss the situation of law and order in the city. All eyes are on this meeting, which is likely to result in important decisions.
