Land dispute: Woman sustains burn wounds

TAXILA:

A woman has sustained serious burn wounds after she was set on fire allegedly by her in-laws over a piece of land in Taxila.

The victim, Nazma Bibi, has been admitted to a local hospital after the incident. Bibi, who married Mudassar six years back, had a clash with her in-laws over a 100 canal piece of land, reportedly bequeathed by her parents.

Mudassar and his father Muzaffar wanted to sell the land without the victim’s consent.

According to reports, Mudassar and Muzaffar first beat her up and later, set her on fire.
