KARACHI:

Muttahida Quami Movement’s (MQM) leader Nisar Ahmed Panhwar on Sunday asked the federal government to take notice of the brutal attacks on their workers.

“I appealed to the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan to take notice of the brutal attack, which was carried out by the terrorists belonging to banned People’s Aman Committee (PAC),” Panhwar said while addressing a press conference at the Khursheed Begum Secretariat Azizabad.

He requested the federal government “to save the city’s businessmen, industrialists, shop owners and people from the brutalities of the PAC and for the deployment of army for the protection of human lives.”

“I also appeal to the national and international human rights organisations and members of the civil society to protest over the tragic incident at Bhains Colony,” he said adding that NGOs should also tell the world how the state supported the terrorists of the PAC.
