Awareness campaign: ‘Knowledge key to fighting dengue’

says LGH website has been updated to include information on the anti-dengue campaign.

Postgraduate Medical Institute Principal Anjum Habib Vohra and Lahore General Hospital Medical Superintendent Amjad Shahzad said on Sunday that dengue was a social problem which could be tackled by raising awareness. In a joint statement, they said the awareness drive against dengue fever was in full swing at LGH. They said health workers were present at outdoor and emergency wards to inform the public about preventive measures that could be taken against dengue fever.


They said the LGH website had been updated to include information on the anti-dengue campaign. They said dengue awareness SMS service had also been launched.

They said the hospital administration had been trained so to lead seminars and workshops on dengue awareness. They urged people to keep their localities clean.
