PTI failed to meet the deadline set by the ECP on Thursday when a total of 45 parties submitted details of their assets, including all mainstream parties like Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Pakistan Peoples Party, etc. “Every political party has to submit to the Election Commission, within 60 days from the close of each financial year, a consolidated statement of accounts of the party, duly audited by a Chartered Accountant,” says Article 13 of the Political Parties Order, 2002.
“Due to party’s intraparty elections and after the May 11 general elections PTI’s staff and its auditors have had to deal with extraordinary amount of information and financial details,” stated a gist of the statement issued to The Express Tribune on Saturday.
“There was no dark design behind the slight delay in PTI submitting its annual financial statement to the ECP. PTI always stood by its commitment to transparency as its leadership had voluntarily placed their assets on party’s website,” stated PTI’s spokesperson.

@Ezio Auditore: How much tax does he pay by the way
Audit is taking time because of the funds used in that Massive Intra Party elections. Will shut up some mouths when it will be out!!... IK is a champion of transparency and this can be proved that all of the details of his assets + last 3 years taxes r on PTI website!!!!
i think 2 or 3 are months are not enough to judge the performance of any government. PTI should be given some time.
@Adnan Siddiqi Extraordinary amount always means black money, keep up the negativity. if D.I Khan Jailbreak is your standard to judge a government 60 days in office, what's your opinion about Bannu Jailbreak? or Mehran base attack? If your 'extraordinary' standards were applied to every government in the world, none will survive 2 months.
@LUMS:
I can always enjoy a good pun! Thanks for acknowledging that one does not necessarily have to be a Troll to "Know Everything." :D
@Usama Bin Ahmed:
How PTI will defend the donations they get from US (US tax paid money)?
@jibran: How do you know that others have provided cooked up info?
@Adnan Siddiqi: AND THIS GUY KNOWS EVERYTHING!! :D U ROCK MAN!!
@QB:
If a Jailbreak in D.I. Khan is considered "The Good being Done in KPK," then rest assured that this "Good already Done" was given its due share of media coverage.
I am sure PTI will come across as the most transparent party. Media is not high lighting the good being done in KPK.
Its not just the extraordinary amount of details which are to be compiled but PTI would also have to end up justifying the sources of such "Extraordinary" "Amount" of money it was able to throw around on a massive campaign. PTI and SKMH donors are going to have a field day on this one.
I take this opportunity yet again to defame PTI :) Regards, ET
PMLN submitted cooked up information in its financial details. The names of Mian Mansha, Saudi, UAE, and Qatari Governments are missing. The whole exercise is futile.
