PPP has appointed former Punjab governor and PPP Secretary General Sardar Latif Khan Khosa as the advocate for the party.
He submitted his advocacy license and has contacted the Anti-Terrorism Court for copies of the case’s previous proceedings.
Background
Bhutto was killed in a gun and suicide bomb attack after an election rally, weeks after she returned to Pakistan from years in self-imposed exile.
The government at the time blamed Tehreek-e-Taliban militants and Musharraf has said he warned her of the danger she faced.
In August, ex-military strongman Pervez Musharraf was charged with the assassination of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto and was indicted by a Rawalpindi court.

Too little too late.
What a pathetic party and I was an active member of it, they showed no interest in her murder case during their government and now they want to be participant. Oh, I forgot, they were busy amassing wealth and stashing it in foreign countries. Are they going to interfere in the proceedings and try to derail it because some of the fingers has been pointed toward Zardari and Rehman Malik.

I know PPP leaders too have blamed extremist elements like Taliban for the murder of BB. Faisal Raza Abidi has openly blamed Taliban for the murder of BB.

They could not do during the 5 year tenor, because of the safe passage to Mr Musharaf. This was part of the deal. Yes, this would be on of the ways to have political gain. But Hey, its the dirty politics. You cant stop it!
Funny how PPP never showed much interest in BB murder case when they were in power. They are even using her murder for their political gains now. Shame!
